Re:Build Answer Engineering offers custom aircraft landing gear testing services for landing weights up to 10,000 pounds. Testing services include swing arm style drop rigs, easily modifiable impact energy, wheel spin-up to 145 knots, data acquisition, test report generation, nose gear shimmy testing to 90 knots, and nose gear steering force measurements.
We offer customizable drop rigs allowing unique gear interfaces to be accommodated and a quickly modifiable drop interface allowing several impact energies to be tested in short time frames.
We monitor strain, pressure, displacement, velocity, acceleration, and energy absorption throughout the stroke of the impact event.
We provide custom report generation utilizing instrumentation data tailored to customer requirements.
We are uniquely capable of accommodating custom gear interfaces and gear intricacies.
From classic single-wing flutter analysis to full aircraft with control surfaces and rotors to the behavior of rotor blades in transition flight, Re:Build Answer Engineering can help derisk programs by identifying aeroelastic design constraints for a flight profile accompanied with wing, rotor, and boom stiffnesses. We are uniquely capable of assessing the aeroelastic stability of multiple rotors attached to boom structures with VTOL and transition flight profiles.
We will provide classic flutter analysis, including control surfaces.
We will capture the behavior of rotors during transitional flight phases (vertical to horizontal flight transition).
The coupled dynamics of rotors and booms lead to unique design challenges for today’s emerging VTOL vehicles. Re:Build Answer Engineering can assess the impact of rotors connected to wings via boom structures.
Beyond assessing configurations for aeroelastic stability, we can design the aerodynamic structure of rotor blades to work with your unique mission profile.
Re:Build Answer Engineering has developed custom workflows using aerodynamics and multi-body dynamics to develop custom rotor blade solutions allowing blades to be optimized for aerodynamic performance, weight, and mission profiles.
Re:Build Answer Engineering uses multiple industry-standard CFD solvers and is able to optimize CFD output through cloud computation to provide customers with efficient and cost-effective CFD analysis.
We specialize in composite and metallic prototyping and testing for structures, propulsion & mechanical systems, and flight. Our in-house machine shop and composite layup station facilitate a quick turnaround from concept, to design, to build. Our custom testing capabilities include testing requiring multiple hydraulic actuators and/or specialized instrumentation. We can develop and conduct test procedures for small (hand-sized) to large (4-seat aircraft wing) items and tailor our process and documentation to your specific needs; whether the test is to help inform your engineering process or to achieve product certifications.
Let’s talk about your unique challenges and how Re:Build Answer Engineering can help you.
